Athletics
Since starting the Athletics Program in 2002, God has truly blessed us with wonderful coaches and players. Our philosophy here for Midway Athletics is to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in everything we do, whether it is on the court or on the field or in the classroom. Our goal is to produce young men and women who want to be champions for Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father orders us in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go.” It is our privilege to have this opportunity to instill this philosophy into our athletes and watch them grow and mature into Godly role models.
Our Lion’s Pride Athletic Booster Club supports and financially supplements all athletics here at MCCS through fundraising and volunteering. To add your support, please contact the school office and they can put you in touch with someone from the Lion’s Pride leadership team.
Volleyball
2010 saw the inaugural season of the MCCS Lady Lions Volleyball team. Under the leadership of Coach Jennifer Westall, the team has dedicated much of its summer and after-school hours to put together a competitive group of young ladies. Girls in 6th – 8th grade are eligible to participate in this program.

Cross Country
Midway has consistently over the past 8 years grown their Cross Country team and over the past 3 years ranked at or near the top of their division. For the 2011 season, the Midway Junior Team Boys were the ACCE Cross Country State Champions and the Midway Junior Team Girls took 2nd place.
Basketball
The basketball program consists of both boys and girls JV (5th – 6th) and Varsity (6th – 8th) teams. Tryouts are in the fall, with games beginning in November and the season ending in January.

Cheerleading
Our cheerleading program supports the MCCS Lions Basketball teams. Girls in grades 5th – 8th are eligible to participate in this program.
Baseball
The MCCS Lions Baseball program kicked off its inaugural baseball season in 2007. At the end of the season, they had an outstanding record of 13-1. Boys in grades 6th through 8th are eligible to participate.
Tennis
Our inaugural Tennis team began in 2011. This program is open to boys and girls in the 6th-8th grade. Tryouts are in the Winter and matches begin in March.
