Our band program is led by Ms. Beth Johnson. Ms. Johnson has been involved in music from a very early age. She began her musical journey by studying piano at the age of 6 and has continued her music education by studying piano, flute and voice in a variety of settings. She received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Valdosta State University and has been teaching for 9 years.
Most of Beth’s life revolves around her passion for music!

Aside from teaching Band and Piano Lessons here at MCCS, she is the Service Programming Director at Lost Mountain Baptist Church, as well as a member of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus. Beth is an enthusiastic teacher that enjoys sharing her love of music with everyone. The band program is available to new and returning students in grades 5th through 8th.
