House System

All students at Midway are divided into one of four houses. These houses are named after the four classical virtues of Justice, Fortitude, Prudence, and Temperance. These houses earn points throughout the year for service, athletic competitions, participation in school events, recognition of virtue, and scholastic achievement.

At the end of the year, the winner of the house competition is recognized by having their name engraved on the Lions’ Cup Award that is housed in the library.

Each house has its own colors, animal, symbols, and verse that are based on classical and biblical references to the four virtues.
